Many people have heard about the new EU cookie law and want to know more about it. As a leading UK website developer Nizami Media has had loads of enquiries to ask if their own site complies with these changes. To ensure everything is in place we have designed a product to make sure you comply.
What is this law about?
The law states that all websites that drop non-essential cookies on visitors have to declare it publicly and ensure visitors agree before they continue browsing through the website. This law came into place on the 26th May 2012 and without the correct procedure in place the website can potentially be fined up to £500,000.

Is the law directly associated with me or is it my host?
If your business is based within the EU, then you need to comply with this law. Even if you are a business in Spain, with a com domain and only targets the US market.
Are all websites required to make this change, even personal websites?
Yes, every single website needs to comply with this law. Even our Nizami Media Page!
Are there any exceptions to the law?
Any website designers in the UK will tell you that the majority of website drop cookies of some kind. Google Adsense and affiliate links all drop cookies on the user. The law just applies to non-essential cookies that are not required. If you have a store, and cookies are used to add products to their basket, then you do not need to conform to the new law, but additional programs like Google Analytics will require you to tell your customers.
Do I have to pay even if my site does not require the new change?
No, if your website does not need the new cookie information, we will refund your payment.
